Your privacy, our priority
At My Memory, privacy is not an afterthought — it is part of why the app exists.
People use My Memory to capture moments that matter. Some are joyful. Some are quiet. Some are deeply personal. We design the product with the belief that what you choose to save deserves care, respect, and protection.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the service securely and provide a personal, reliable experience.
Information from Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive limited information from your Google account to identify you and create your My Memory account:
- Email address
- Name
- Profile photo (if available)
- A unique Google account identifier
This information is used only for authentication and account management.
We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or any other Google services.
Information You Choose to Save
My Memory allows you to intentionally save memories and content that you create. This may include text, audio, or other information you choose to store.
We do not collect content from your device, microphone, or account unless you actively choose to create or save it.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to operate, maintain, and protect the My Memory experience.
This includes:
- Securely signing you in and maintaining your session
- Creating and managing your account
- Displaying basic profile details such as your name or photo
- Protecting the platform from misuse or abuse
- Supporting customer requests and account-related communication
Your data is never used for advertising, tracking, profiling, or marketing.
Voice, Transcription, and AI-Assisted Features
My Memory offers optional features that help make capturing and finding memories easier.
These may include:
- Voice input to record a memory
- Speech-to-text transcription to convert spoken words into text
- AI-powered semantic search to help you find memories by meaning rather than exact wording
These features are used only when you choose to use them.
Content processed for transcription or search remains associated with your account and is used solely to provide the requested functionality. We do not use this content to train advertising systems, build user profiles, or share with third parties.
AI-assisted features are designed to work quietly in the background, helping you access your memories more naturally while respecting their personal nature.
How We Protect What You Share
We understand that memories are different from typical app data. Many are private by nature, and we treat them that way.
We protect user data by:
- Using secure cloud infrastructure with strict access controls
- Encrypting data in transit using industry-standard protocols
- Limiting internal access to systems that are essential for operation only
- Designing systems so personal content is not casually accessible
We do not store Google account passwords.
Security is built into the architecture from the start, not added later.
Making Access Simple Without Compromising Privacy
We believe privacy should not come at the cost of usability.
- Google Sign-In allows secure access without creating or remembering another password
- Your account is tied only to the identity you authorize
- You can access your memories easily while we handle the security behind the scenes
Our goal is to make My Memory feel effortless to use while remaining careful with what you trust us to hold.
Our Use of Google and Firebase
My Memory is built using trusted cloud infrastructure provided by Google, including Firebase services.
These services support:
- Secure authentication
- Encrypted data storage
- Voice processing, transcription, and AI-assisted search

- Personal memories are not accessed for analytics, marketing, or profiling
- Data is never used to build advertising audiences
Information may only be disclosed if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.

- Account information remains while your account is active
- When an account is deleted, associated personal data is removed according to our retention policies
