Your guide to My Memory: Terms of service

Welcome to My Memory (“My Memory,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the My Memory website and app (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use My Memory

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Your account

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login credentials secure
  • all activity that occurs under your account
  • providing accurate information and keeping it up to date

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

3. Your content and ownership

“My Memory” allows you to store content such as text, audio recordings, transcripts, and related information (“Your Content”).

You own Your Content.

You grant My Memory a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content only to provide and improve the Service (for example, saving recordings, generating transcripts, and enabling search).

We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

4. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service, you agree that we can process data as described there.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you will not:

  • attempt to access or probe our systems or other users’ data without permission
  • upload viruses or malicious code
  • use the Service for illegal activity
  • harass, threaten, or violate the rights of others
  • reverse engineer or attempt to circumvent limits, security, or access controls

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. AI features and accuracy

Some features may use automated processing (including AI) to transcribe, summarize, enrich, or help you search Your Content.

You understand that:

  • transcripts and AI-generated outputs may contain errors
  • you should not rely on the Service for medical, legal, or financial decisions
  • you are responsible for how you use outputs from the Service

7. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Some features require a paid subscription.

Prices and plan features are shown at checkout or in your account.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

If you cancel, you will typically keep access through the end of your current billing period.

Refunds: Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable. If something looks wrong with a charge, contact us and we’ll do our best to help.

8. Service changes and availability

We’re improving My Memory over time. We may add, remove, or change features. We may also pause or stop the Service (in whole or in part). We try to minimize disruption, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • you violate these Terms
  • required by law
  • needed to protect the Service, our users, or others

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • we do not guarantee that saved or processed content will always be available or free from loss (though we take reasonable measures to protect it)

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Memory will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or $100 if you have not paid us).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not apply to you.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice within the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
